TCD&IC wins $200,000 to empower marginalized voters!

Congratulations to Calyx Client, the Tri-Cities Diversity & Inclusion Council, on winning a $200,000 Intai Emerging Opportunities grant!

The Tri-Cities has a complex racial history. Racialized gerrymandering, de-facto segregation, and monolithic local governments have perpetuated long-standing injustices in this region. TCD&IC was established to ameliorate these disparities through strategic social justice initiatives.

This unrestricted, capacity-building grant will enable TCD&IC to offer new voter and civic engagement programs while centering under-represented, under-resourced, and historically disenfranchised populations. While the political system may sometimes feel hopeless, TCD&IC's goal is to empower marginalized voters and convey the critical importance of their voices and votes.

Thank you to the Intai Foundation for their generous support, which will significantly bolster TCD&IC's efforts and increase their capacity to engage in this important work. As their motto states, “We’re all in this together!” Thank you for partnering with us as we work to make the Tri-Cities a more equitable and inclusive place.
